Tasmanians have long known that we live in a special place, with outstanding natural beauty and wonderful food and wine.

Our favourite places, whether it’s the beaches of the East Coast or the West Coast’s rugged wilderness, are becoming less and less of a secret as the hospitality industry continues to win national and international awards for excellence in accommodation, gourmet food and wine, and visitor experiences.

This recognition would not be possible without the 23,000 Tasmanians who work in the hospitality industry showcasing Tasmania to the world.
In light of the industry’s significant role in Tasmania’s economy, Scott Bacon has been appointed as Minister for Hospitality in the State Government.

Minister Bacon and the Government will continue to work with the Tasmanian Hospitality Association to help our industry go from strength to strength, focussing on quality, excellence and pride in all that Tasmania has to offer.
