We are so lucky in this State.

We have the scientifically proven cleanest air in the world turning our wind farms at Woolnorth on the north-west coast.
We have an Aboriginal, colonial and convict history of world significance.

And we have natural places of such beauty that the Lonely Planet Guide has declared the Bay of Fires the must see world-wide destination of 2009.

Those things are matched by the quality of the fresh food, and the warmth of the welcome, that awaits all visitors to Tasmania’s hotels and restaurants.

With the continuum of food excellence now being developed - from the paddocks of our farmers through to the plates of our finest restaurants - there has never been a more important time for an active and forward-looking hospitality industry.

The Australian Hotels Association and Restaurant and Catering Association have an important part to play in the development of Tasmania’s future – and the State Government looks forward to continuing to work with them.
